8 Jun 2017 - Copenhagen Day 3: H. C. Andersen Fairy-Tale House and The National Museum of Denmark

Next, we visited the H.C. Andersen Fairy-Tale House.
It was a very small little museum displaying many of the characters and props from Andersen Fairy Tales.
The props were very colorful and there were many buttons that the kids could press to activate the animations.
After visiting the Fairy-Tale House, we went to the National Museum.
There were quite a few interesting exhibits, especially the one that required the use of metal detectors to hunt for items. Once a historical item was detected, an image appeared on the small screen of the metal detector and a description of the item can be heard over the headset.
After searching for almost 15mins, we made our way to the Children’s Museum within the National Museum.
There were many exhibits in the Children’s Museum that encouraged role playing and the kids had fun there.
We went to the National Museum exhibits after the Children’s Museum was closed at 4pm.
Jerlene and Javier were very interested with all the runestones at one of the exhibits.
We spent an hour walking around the museum.  Before leaving, we saw an ancient wagon wheel on display.  Guess what, when Javier saw it, he shouted:"Pokeball"!  Well, it does look like one and we all had a good laugh!  :-)
