15 Dec 2015 - Tasmania Day 2: Sheffield the Town of Murals

The moment we drove into Sheffield, we immediately noticed the paintings on the walls all around the town.  These wall paintings are called Murals, which is why Sheffield is also know as the Town of Murals.  The Murals were painted by dedicated artists whose main aim was to bring the region's history to life.
Here in the Mural Park, the murals were painted during International Mural Fest, which is a week-long mural art competition held annually in Sheffield.
Most of the houses and shops around also had their walls nicely painted.
There is actually a walking trail which brings visitors to view murals in and around Sheffield.
Sheffield is actually a small town.  The Store below is probably the largest supermarket around.  We bought some snacks and drinks here.
This is another interesting shop that sells all sorts of marbles.
Around this region in Tasmania, the places have very unique names such as "Promised Land", "Garden of Eden" and "No Where Else".
Other than shopping in The Store, we covered this small town in less than half an hour.
We bought some Fried Chicken, Seafood Basket, Fries and Nuggets here for our dinner before heading back to our accommodation.
